The XLIII Ibero-Latin American Congress on Computational Methods in Engineering (CILAMCE 2022) will be held from November 21 to 25, 2022 in Foz do Iguaçu, Paraná, Brazil.

Regular activities of CILAMCE, such as plenary lectures, mini-symposia presentations and welcome cocktail/dinner, will occur from November 21 to 24. The last day of the event, November 25, will be exclusively dedicated to complementary activities of social interaction and scientific dissemination concerning computational methods in engineering.

CILAMCE is an annual conference promoted by the Brazilian Association of Computational Methods in Engineering (ABMEC), intended to serve as an international forum for communicating recent developments on numerical methods in all fields of engineering and related sciences.

Since 1977, when it was launched by the emerging Brazilian community of computational mechanics, under the leadership of the late Prof. Agustín Ferrante, CILAMCE has become the main conference for engineers, students, researchers and other professionals, especially from Brazil and Ibero-Latin America (but also from further abroad), to discuss and explore the state-of-the-art on computational methods in engineering.

CILAMCE is a multidisciplinary event: scientists and engineers from all fields are encouraged to attend the conference. The technical program typically includes worldly prominent plenary speakers and several mini-symposia parallel sessions with contributed papers. In this edition, CILAMCE will also include novel social activities of interaction and scientific dissemination on the last day of the event.

CILAMCE also promotes a special student competition – the Agustín Ferrante Award – to acknowledge undergraduate students who show potential for outstanding scientific achievements.

We look forward to welcoming you to Foz do Iguaçu for the CILAMCE 2022.
