Civil Engineer graduated from the University of Brasilia (1978), with a master’s degree in Civil Engineering (Structures) from COPPE/UFRJ (1983) and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (1992). He did post-doctoral studies at Loughborough University, UK (2021). He is a CNPq researcher, Level II. He works at the graduate programs in Civil Engineering (PPGEC) and Numerical Methods in Engineering (PPGMNE), both at UFPR. He has several papers, MSc and PhD orientations in topics related to Computational Mechanics, stress analysis, static and dynamic analysis of structures, concrete structures and composite materials, and Damage Mechanics.
